I think one a day workouts is more than enough, which is why I’m so stoked about this workout philosophy because I think coupled with my supplement strategy, like 3 a week plus like 2 more short workouts to supplement the other things should be enough.
However, I’m doing 2 a day workouts when I can, one in the morning, a run in the afternoon, to truly maximize this experiment. The morning ones should be easy, yet cover a lot of ground. This is what I’m calling the lunge and pushup workout.
I’m calling this the Lunge and Pushup Workout. It sprang from an idea of lunges for the lower body, which attacks a few weak points I currently have, pushups for the upper body because pushups are always good. But I mix in a few more excursuses to just cover everything.
My goal is to cycle through the 4 exercises, for 5 sets, starting at 15 reps of each (that’s 30 lunges, 15 for each leg) then 14, then 13.. all the way down to 10. I alternate excursive sets per day:
Day 1:
- Lunges
- Pushups
- Kettlebell Deadlifts (My mind is on my lower back!)
- Kettlebell Presses
Day 2;
- Planks (I use a plank board to be less boring)
- Pullups
- Bodyweight/Kettlebell Squats (stability)
- Hip Thrusters (Again – mind on lower back)
Again, the intensity should just be enough to work the supplements into my bloodstream, and then work my bloodstream throughout my body, ready for my cells to drink up in the morning.
